Vegan mince pies: check the product, not just the pastry

Whether a mince pie is vegan depends on the exact product. One vegan pie in a supermarket’s range doesn’t make the rest of the range vegan.

The pies below are labelled vegan in the sources we checked on 26 October 2026. Open a product for the source and the full ingredients. Recipes change, so check the pack you buy.

What to check on the pack

Read the ingredients and the vegan label, then the allergen warnings. A vegan pie can still say “may contain milk” or “may contain egg”, so vegan doesn’t mean safe for an allergy.

We never mark a pie vegan just because our copy of the ingredients didn’t mention butter. If the label doesn’t say, the pie stays out of this list.

Compare the actual products

Look at pack count, pie size and the observed price before comparing value. A different flavour or topping can change whether a pie is vegan. Our verdict on one variant stays with that variant.

The product catalogue has a vegan filter. For other dietary needs, see the dietary guide.

Taste is a separate question

This list tells you which pies are vegan, not which tastes best. Open a product page for our verdict, where we have one.
